Cesura is an innovative string quartet located in Tucson, Arizona. The quartet and its individual members play frequently in performances around town.

Cesura has been invited to play at the University of Arizona School of Music's Chamber Music Showcase, and will be performing at 7:30 pm, Monday May 5th in Crowder Hall.

Cesura Goes Electric
Cesura's first amped instrument is now a reality! David Long has worked with Cy Amesquita to create a modification on a violin pickup to fit his viola. With his electrified insturment, David hopes to work with contemporary Tucson composer Robert Hanshaw to produce a new work for electrified viola.
Cesura's Romanticism through the Ages
With an expected release date in the summer of 2008, Cesura's first album will include works from Mendelsohnn and Shostakovitch, as well as a commissioned neo-Romantic piece by local Tucson composer Deanna Clement. |
