Cesura is an innovative string quartet located in Tucson, Arizona. The quartet and its individual members play frequently in performances around town.

They are also available to play at weddings and other events.

Cesura Goes Electric

Cesura's first amped instrument is now a reality! David Long has worked with Cy Amesquita to create a modification on a violin pickup to fit his viola. With his electrified insturment, David hopes to work with contemporary Tucson composer Robert Hanshaw to produce a new work for electrified viola.

Cesura's Romanticism through the Ages

With an expected release date in the summer of 2008, Cesura's first album will include works from Mendelsohnn and Shostakovitch, as well as a commissioned neo-Romantic piece by local Tucson composer Deanna Clement.
